Caroline Allen is an artist, writer and a book coach. She began her expat career and expat life as a journalist at a Tokyo newspaper. She then worked as a travel writer throughout Asia, and ended up as a newsroom journalist in London, at The Independent, and the Financial Times. But few years down the road, she decided to make a career shift as she found her voice as a novelist and visual artist. For the past 20 years, Caroline has been working with people all over the world as a book coach, especially expats, on novels, memoir, and self-help books. She has now repatriated to the West Coast of the U.S. but plans to begin another expat adventure in a few years. Today, Caroline has three award-winning expat novels published and a yurt art studio tucked in the wild woods of the U.S. West Coast.
